Do you collect fossils? Do you have a fossil or two at home that you would love to have identified? You are in luck! Join us as Joseph Koniecki, a collector of fossils for 54 years will be at the library to talk about finding fossils, cleaning them, and preparing them for display. Joseph will also bring in some fossils from his private collection. Joseph’s bona fides are impressive; traveled throughout most of the 50 states and Canada to collect fossils, has published eight peer reviewed articles in the Journal of Paleontology and is associated with the University of Michigan's Museum of Paleontology. Fossils from his personal collection are currently on display in the following museums: Smithsonian, Royal Ontario Museum, University of Michigan Natural History Museum, and Brigham Young University.
