The library is partnering with the Highland Garden Club to bring back a favorite presenter – Brian Peterson-Roest, founder of the nonprofit Bees in the D for an all-new presentation, "The Mighty Monarch." Join us to learn how monarch butterflies migrate to the mountains of Mexico and how we can help!

Doors open for sign-in, seating and refreshments at 6:00, presentation begins at 6:30.

Brian Peterson-Roest is the founder of the nonprofit Bees in the D. Bees in the D is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to create a cooperative effort between residents, schools, organizations, and businesses in the city of Detroit and Southeast Michigan to contribute to both the health of honey bee colonies and native pollinators, and the education of their importance to our environment.
